For Sale…. "For the Love of Patchouli" Earthy, exotic, sensuous...unforgettable. Such is the essence of Patchouli. I so loooove patchouli….that I started to name my oil shop Patchouly. ….until of course I found there were so many other patchouli connoisseurs that named there beloved start-ups "Patchouli". What is it that makes so many of us captured by this essence? It really does smell of dirt when you really think about it. But dirt and sweat and the natural essence of "you" combine to make it one of the most delicious seductive scents that I know. Its appeal for me is its incense quality. My love of fragrances originated with the smell of smoke coming from an open fire during a camping trip one summer while attending boarding school in New Hampshire. I have learned to associate the smell of incense with comfort and joy and good times. So my favorite scents tend to be the earthy sorts such as sandalwood, amber, aloeswood and PATCHOULI. And many of my personal blends (Master Blends) tend to be towards this sort. But really PATCHOULI is historically a spiritually grounding oil. Think of it as bringing you back down to reality, to the earth, it helps you to put things in perspective. It reduces mental fatigue, can sharpen intelligence, improve concentration and provide insight. And of course, patchouli is also an aphrodisiac. On a man it attracts women.
