Earthy, exotic, sensuous...unforgettable.  Such is the essence of Patchouli. 

      I so loooove patchouli….that I started to name my oil shop Patchouly. ….until of course I found there were so many other patchouli connoisseurs that named there beloved start-ups "Patchouli".   

       What is it that makes so many of us captured by this essence?  It really does smell of dirt when you really think about it.   But dirt and sweat and the natural essence of "you" combine to make it one of the most delicious seductive scents that I know.

        Its appeal for me is its incense quality.  My love of fragrances originated with the smell of smoke coming from an open fire during a camping trip one summer while attending boarding school in New Hampshire.    I have learned to associate the smell of incense with comfort and joy and good times.  So my favorite scents tend to be the earthy sorts such as sandalwood, amber, aloeswood and PATCHOULI.   And many of my personal blends (Master Blends) tend to be towards this sort.

       But really PATCHOULI is historically a spiritually grounding oil.     Think of it as bringing you back down to reality, to the earth, it helps you to put things in perspective.  It reduces mental fatigue, can sharpen intelligence, improve concentration and provide insight.   

       And of course, patchouli is also an aphrodisiac.   On a man it attracts women.  On a woman it makes you feel sexier.

Indian Patchouli (1/3 oz. Roll-on)...This is the traditional patchouli...deep, rich and woody!  As good as it is, it will still get better with age!  Try some!! 
Note: as of January 19, 2008.   My favorite supplier and best resource for what I think is (was) one of the best Indian Patchouli's I have ever carried has decided to STOP carrying it as the price has gone way out of control.  I am now having to resource my supply.  I am awaiting samples from various sources as I type this and will let you know if I find one as "perfect and euphoric " :o)  as the one I have carried the last few years.  I have a little stock left for sampling, but not enough for full bottle sizes like the orders I have been getting.  So I have left the sample link below just in case.  I will let you know when this runs out.
Tunisian Patchouli …..This is sweeter...some people think its more green/floral...if patchouli can be floral.
Patchouli Musk…..This is a blend of Indian Patchouli and Egyptian Musk another favorite.
Patchouli Vanilla….This is a blend of Indian Patchouli and a sweet, creamy vanilla.
Hippie Love….This is my personal blend of Indian patchouli, tunisian white musk, ginger and amber….ummmmmm.   
Jamaican Patchouli   Our own blend of mango, guava, coconut milk and tunisian patchouli.   A new favorite with our patchouli customers.
